About Us
Optrak4, our flagship product, is used by companies in a wide variety of industries – ranging from convenience retail to waste management to forestry – in both an operational and strategic capacity to cut costs and improve control.
Underpinning the product and its associated family applications are our dedicated consultancy and support teams, which offer high levels of assistance and customer satisfaction, leading to a continuous customer retention rate of >90% since 2000.
We are also a leading research organisation within the wider Operations Research sphere – including academic partnerships with the Universities of Edinburgh, Southampton, Lancaster and Herriot-Watt and membership to the Centre for Sustainable Road Freight.
TIM PIGDEN
Managing Director and Co-Founder
Tim Pigden is the Managing Director of Optrak and a Fellow of both the Operational Research Society and the Chartered Institute for Logistics and Transport. He has over thirty years of operations research and vehicle routing expertise designing route optimisation systems and managing external consultancy projects with international commercial and logistics organisations such as DHL, BP Castrol, Shell, Menzies Distribution and Kuehne + Nagel.
In addition to commercial activities, he is also Senior Visiting Researcher at Heriot-Watt University and Honorary Practitioner at Kent University Business School and gives talks, seminars and workshops at several other UK universities.
